How pizza box sizes work
Pizza box sizes are written length × width × depth in inches: a 14x14x2 box is 14" square and 2" deep. Match the box to the diameter of the pie — a 14" pizza goes in a 14x14 box — and size up if your crust runs large or you want room for a dipping cup.
Depth matters for thick or heavily topped pies. Most sizes here are 2" deep; the 16.5x16.5x2.5 box adds half an inch for taller pizzas.
Which sizes most pizzerias stock
A typical menu needs three or four sizes: a personal or small (7"–10"), a medium (12"), a large (14"–16") and, for catering, an extra-large or sheet box (18"–24", or 18x26 for a party sheet). Printing every size with the same logo keeps orders consistent from the counter to the delivery bag.
Rectangular boxes
Two sizes are rectangular: 12x17x2 and the 18x26x2 party sheet. Use them for rectangular or sheet-pan pizzas rather than squeezing a rectangle into a square box.
Common questions
- What are standard pizza box dimensions?
- Pizza boxes are listed length x width x depth in inches. The common square sizes are 10x10x2, 12x12x2, 14x14x2, 16x16x2 and 18x18x2; personal boxes run 7x7x2 to 9x9x2, and party sizes go up to 24x24x2 and an 18x26x2 sheet box. Most are 2 inches deep.
- What size pizza box do I need for a 12 inch pizza?
- A 12x12x2 box. Pizza boxes are sized to the pie's diameter, so a 12" pizza takes a 12" box.
- What is the biggest pizza box you print?
- The largest square box is 24x24x2 and the largest overall is the 18x26x2 party sheet box. Both ship 25 to a bundle.
- Are all sizes available in white and kraft?
- The corrugated line comes with a white or kraft exterior and a kraft interior, in E or B flute.
