About Avco Industries

Avco Industries was founded in 1989 in Long Island, New York. We have been a reliable and thriving business for over 35 years. At our inception, Avco consisted of only a few employees and one basic box printing machine.

Today we manufacture custom-printed food service packaging for pizzerias, bakeries, delis, cafés and caterers across the country — over 10 million boxes printed, all made in the USA, all still coming out of Long Island.

Our Purpose

Mission Statement

“Our mission here at Avco Industries is to become the leading pizza and bakery box manufacturer in the nation by providing the highest level of satisfaction to our customers through producing quality product and outstanding service at affordable prices.”

What We Make

Everything we sell is printed to order, and the range starts where the company started in 1989: the pizza box. Fourteen sizes run from a 7″ personal pie up to an 18″ x 26″ party sheet — wider than most suppliers, who stop at 18 inches. Each one is a one-piece corrugated design with tab locking, so it sets up in seconds during a Friday night rush, and you choose E flute for a slimmer wall and a cleaner print surface or B flute where you need more crush resistance for delivery. Clay-coated boxes add a smooth, brighter finish for full-colour artwork.

Bakery packaging runs to twenty-four sizes, from a 5.5″ x 2.75″ x 4″ single-pastry box through the standard 8″, 10″ and 12″ cake footprints up to a quarter sheet cake box, in white or kraft. Because most bakeries sell in more than one format, that ladder lets a shop print a matched set rather than mixing branded and plain boxes on the same counter.

Beyond boxes we print custom wax paper, deli paper, food wrapping paper and a biodegradable sheet — five papers sharing eight sizes from 6″ x 6″ to 14″ x 18″, all 400 sheets per bundle. There are single wall and insulated double wall hot cups, paper and clear cold cups with lids sold separately so you can match the lid to the drink, paper handle bags and counter bags for pounds, burgers and bakery items, catering cases and trays in half and full tray sizes, and takeout containers that ship with their lids included.

From Artwork to Delivery

Every order runs the same way. You send artwork — a logo file, a finished design, or simply a photo of the box you use today — and our art team lays it onto the die line for the product and size you have chosen. Before anything goes on press you receive a free digital proof to approve, so you see placement, scale and colour on the actual shape rather than on a blank rectangle.

Artwork setup is a one-time $75 charge per order. It is charged once per order rather than once per size, which is why printing a matched set across a whole bakery counter costs less than ordering each size separately. Once a design is approved it stays on file, and reorders skip both the setup fee and the proofing step.

Production and delivery typically run around 10 business days from proof approval. Boxes ship flat and shrink-wrapped, ready to store until you need them.

Minimums Built for Independent Shops

A manufacturer’s minimum order is usually what keeps a single-location pizzeria or a neighbourhood bakery from ever printing its own packaging. Ours are set low on purpose. Custom pizza boxes start at 5 bundles of 50 — 250 boxes, a realistic first run rather than a wholesale-only commitment. Custom paper handle bags start at 4 bundles of 100. Takeout containers start at 4 bundles of 75.

Cups are sold by the case: single wall hot cups and paper cold cups ship 700 per case with a 3-case minimum, double wall hot cups 260 per case, and clear cold cups 240 to 300 per case depending on size. Wax paper’s standard 5-bundle minimum works out at 2,000 sheets, which is more than a small shop or a pop-up will get through — so there is a low-minimum version that starts at a single 400-sheet bundle.

Made in the USA, Shipped from Seven States

Our headquarters and plant are at 120 Windsor Place, Central Islip, New York 11722, and everything we print is made in the USA. Alongside the Long Island operation we hold stock at distribution centers in New York, Georgia, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Colorado — which is what makes a ten-business-day turnaround realistic for customers well outside the Northeast.

Our Future

Avco Industries will continue with upgrades, modernization and research on new products and methods. Expand in bakery and specialty boxes. We have a plan to open manufacturing plants and distribution centers at the mid west area and west coast area.
